The Austrian Valerie is separated from her husband. At a party she meets Jones, an African American. Although neither of them is looking for a relationship, they bond over sightseeing tours through Vienna. However, they are not immune to cultural misunderstandings. Johannes, Valerie’s husband, puts pressure on her to get back into the marriage with the help of their daughter. Valerie gives in to this pressure and leaves Jones. After a conversation with Elle, a friend and colleague of Jones, Valerie doubts her decision.
